God Sees You Through

God will lead you on the right path no matter the path you are on now.  Taken by Anna Van Cleef

In my life, there were many instances where I felt alone. I thought that no one understood my pain, my regret, or my struggles. Thoughts of running, suicide, and hatred consumed me; my life was in darkness. I know that many people feel this way, too. It feels like the world is against you; it feels like you have no where to run, no one to confide in. To those of you that feel that way, I want to tell you one thing: you’re not alone.

“I despise my life; I would not live forever. Let me alone; my days have no meaning.” – Job 7:16 (NIV)

Job, a man who was ever faithful to God, fell ill when the devil was given the power to destroy Job and all he had. To the end, Job loved and honored God. (The story of Job is one that many can relate to, and I would encourage everyone to read it.)Yet, even he became discouraged. Still, God saw him, and loved him. When, at the end of the story, God speaks to Job, one sees that Job is given much more than was lost. More importantly, however, he realized the meaning of his life.

When life feels broken, scattered, and chaotic, remember that you are not alone and your life has meaning. God is with you. His Spirit, should you choose to accept it, is within you and guiding you. He will provide a path for you, and, no matter how hard that path seems, you will not be on it alone. God is with you; He even knows how many hairs you have on your head (believer or not) (Matthew 10:30)! You are worth more than you think you are; you are worth everything to Him – even His death.

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. ( Matthew 10: 29-31)

When you give your life to Christ, your life will not become easier. In fact, you will live in judgement of the world we live in; yet, God will be on your side! He will see you through!

He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. – Psalm 62:2 (NIV)

I wanted to share with you a poem from a point of my own weakness; where I felt alone and torn apart. Even though this poem reflect my life in 2006, my life since then has been filled with the Lord. It has not been easy, it has not been kind. In fact, it is more difficult; however, I know that I am not alone in anything that I do, no mater what I do.

Numb Feeling

What doesn’t kill you,
will makes you stronger,
maybe the pain inside,
will keep me that much longer,
everyday I see it fit,
to see my one desire,
but everyday it comes and goes,
like a candle that burnt out it fire.

My heart has turned to ash,
broken one to many time.
My stomach turns to knots,
in a twist and in a bind.
My head begins to ache,
to the point of no return.
My eyes begin to glisten,
everything turns into a blur.

This life that had surrounded me,
has taken me on a ride,
though twist, and turns, and corksrews, and into many binds,
I lead the life ahead with many doubts,
but I’m forced to lead it ahead with a smile instead of frowns

My heart has turned to ash,
broken one to many times.
My stomach turns to knots,
in a twist and a bind,
My head begins to ache,
to the point of no return.
My eyes begin to glisten,
everything into a blur.

My life will be just like this,
until the day I die.
